I went to the University of Iowa on a football scholarship. I was on the 1982 University of Iowa Rose Bowl Team. I played behind Andre Tippett, who in 2009 was named to the NFL Hall of Fame. My claim is that I made Andre a hall of famer, since I went against Andre every day in practice. I've been working at State Farm for 25 years. I have been married to Joan "Thoennes" Schroeder for 28 years. We celebrated our 28th anniversary on June 15, 2013. We have 3 kids, Aaron is a Financial Adviser with Grant Thornton in Oakbrook. Aaron lives in Westmont, Illinois. Lindsay just graduated Summa Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications from Lindenwood University, St. Charles, Missouri. Lindsay was a member of the Lindenwood Softball Team. Lindsay is working for Insight Global in Clayton, Missouri as a recuiter for IT Systems. Nick just graduated from U-High and will be attending the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri in the fall. Nick will be a Mizzou Tiger.
